The Kingdom Grounds Coffee Shoppe in Thomasville has recently opened their new venue, The Darling Tea Room. The room can be reserved for tea parties, bridal showers, birthday parties, luncheons and more.
On June 28, 2024, there was an open house, where free food and drinks were provided such as finger sandwiches, fresh fruit, mini cupcakes, cucumber water and sweet tea.

On June 25, the Summer Library Program (SPL) hosted Smokey Bear’s 80th birthday at the Thomasville Public Library (TPL).
In the Children’s Wing of the library, there were different stations for the kids to visit and have fun, with eight being inside and four being outside.
For every station they visited, the party volunteers marked their itinerary sheets.

On May 31, the Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum was selected as this year’s winner of the Women in American History Award from the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.
The award honors women who have made important contributions within their community. DAR chapters are encouraged to select a significant woman from their state to honor.
